Hidden Treasures Productions, Inc. is an award-winning nonfiction production and marketing company. Its programming has aired on Showtime, Oxygen, Outdoor Life Network, the Biography Channel and a number of PBS affiliates across the country.
Its most recent production, "Secrets of the Soul," takes an all encompassing look at the search for the soul, from the faithful who seek to touch it to the scientists who investigate its reality. This two-hour documentary special explores the western belief in the soul as way of understanding the afterlife, and the eastern concept that it is energy recycled through reincarnation.
Hidden Treasures Productions also produced "Secrets of Mary Magdalene," a comprehensive investigation that takes an all-encompassing look at the woman who lies at the heart of the controversy surrounding Dan Brown's, The Da Vinci Code. The film, based on the nonfiction book of the same title by Dan Burstein and Arne de Keijzer, was shot at many historic locations around the world and also features a special Mary Magdalene Roundtable, which brings together many of the leading experts to discuss and debate the issues involving this mysterious and historical figure.
Additionally, Hidden Treasures created "Secrets of the Occult," which explores the world of the occult from the ancient and modern magicians who practice it to the cutting edge scientists attempting to explain its mysterious claims. This documentary special highlights the advances that have been achieved by innovators who challenged established reality like Newton, Galileo, Carl Jung and Einstein. The claims of the occult magicians are put under the microscope to reveal the fascinating interface between ancient Egyptian and Greek beliefs and modern discoveries of the mind and the physical world.
Hidden Treasures Productions began its collaboration with Dan Burstein and Arne de Keijzer on “Secrets of Angels, Demons & Masons,” the documentary special based on their best-selling book, Secrets of Angels & Demons, which deals with the provocative issues raised in Dan Brown's novels. This two hour documentary film, narrated by John Cullum, separates fact from fiction, uncovering the truth behind Brown’s conspiracy theories, and delves into the hidden past of Freemasonry and its surprising role in the founding of America.
Also among Hidden Treasures’ credits is the feature documentary “Trust Me,” which follows Muslim, Jewish, and Christian boys at an interfaith camp in the aftermath of September 11th. This inspirational film premiered on Showtime and has won a number of awards, including the 2004 Wilbur Award, for excellence in communication of religious themes in secular media, the Vision Award at the 2003 RiverRun International Film Festival, and a Parents’ Choice Award.
In July 2007, Hidden Treasures merged operations with Lorber Media forming Lorber HT Digital. "Secrets of the Soul" was the first title released on Lorber HT Digital's new digital-based DVD distribution label Alive Mind.
